How to Cool Down Steel Structure Factories
A steel structure factory primarily refers to a facility where the main load-bearing components are composed of steel materials. These include steel columns, steel beams, steel structure foundations, steel roof trusses (especially now, as factories generally have larger spans, steel roof trusses are commonly used), and steel roof coverings. It's worth noting that the walls of steel structures can also be maintained with brick walls. Industrial and civil building facilities constructed with steel materials are referred to as steel structures.
1.Insulation and Cooling:
Steel structure factory insulation films can block most of the solar radiation and conducted heat, reducing the indoor temperature and mitigating the greenhouse effect within the steel structure factory. This significantly lowers the factory temperature and improves the environment within steel structure factories.
Currently, the following two commonly used methods are available for selection: Adding insulation wool to the steel structure roof of the factory. Generally, the insulation wool used on roofs is glass wool, with common thicknesses of 50mm, 75mm, and 100mm, and a density of 10kg/m³. Proper installation can typically reduce indoor temperatures by 5-8℃. The construction process is relatively complex. For insulation renovations of old factories, it is necessary to dismantle the existing roof, pull up a steel wire mesh, lay glass wool on the steel wire mesh, cover the steel structure with the original roof panel, and then perform waterproofing treatment. Another method is to spray thermal insulation reflective coating on the roof panels.
2.Ventilation for Cooling
Some machines within steel structure factories generate heat and water vapor. If these hot air and water vapor are not promptly exhausted, they will accumulate within the factory, leading to an increase in temperature and adversely affecting the environment within the steel structure factory. The solution to these issues is to ensure adequate ventilation within the factory by installing an appropriate ventilation system. Properly installed ventilation systems will significantly improve the air quality within steel structure factories and greatly reduce the temperature.
