Steel Structure

The application of steel structures is becoming increasingly widespread. As steel structures play a vital role in the construction of industrial buildings, the following precautions must be taken during storage and installation to ensure their safe use:

1.Material Identification: Tags should be attached to the ends of steel components, indicating their specifications, grade, quantity, and material acceptance certificate number.

2.Outdoor Storage: When stored outdoors, the site must be level, elevated above the surrounding ground, and equipped with drainage ditches around the perimeter.

3.Stacking Guidelines: Structural steel sections should be stacked with their back faces facing upward or outward to prevent snow accumulation and water pooling. A height difference should be maintained between the two ends to facilitate drainage.

4.Pre-Installation Checks: Prior to installation, the construction unit must conduct a specialized inspection of product certificates, design documents, and pre-assembly records. Component dimensions should also be verified and documented.

5.Connection Methods: Appropriate connection methods must be employed to ensure that joint designs align with the simplified structural calculation models.

6.Hoisting Precautions: During hoisting, measures should be taken to prevent excessive bending or torsion. Padding blocks should be placed between slings and components to avoid damage.

7.Post-Installation Stability: Once steel components are hoisted into position, connectors such as brackets should be promptly secured to ensure structural stability.

8.Safety at Heights: Workers at heights must store tools and spare parts in tool bags; no items should be thrown upward or downward.

9.Weather Adaptations: Reliable anti-slip measures are required during rainy conditions. Lightning protection must also be prioritized during thunderstorm seasons.

10.Weather Restrictions: Construction should only proceed under favorable weather conditions. Work must be halted if winds exceed Level 4.

By adhering to these guidelines, the integrity and safety of steel structures can be effectively maintained throughout installation and use.
