Steel Structure

1. Fabrication Precision Control
The accuracy of steel structure fabrication is critical to ensuring dimensional precision of the overall structure and smooth installation. Key parameters requiring strict control include:

  • Straightness and distortion of steel columns.

  • Distance from connection holes to column base plates.

  • Machining precision of connection holes.

  • Straightness of roof beams and accuracy of beam-column connection plates.

  • Positioning of bracing or tie rod connection plates relative to beams/columns.

  • Location accuracy of purlin support plates.

2. Transportation and Handling Controls
To prevent deformation during transportation:

  • Transportation:

    • Require transport contractors to add multiple support points along the full length of components.

    • Use wooden spacers between parts to ensure firm contact.

    • Secure external lashing to minimize vibration- or compression-induced deformation.

  • Lifting and Unloading:

    • Employ two-point lifting. For oversized components, use spreader beams and additional lifting points.

  • On-site Storage:

    • Limit stacking layers (≤3 layers).

    • Increase support points to prevent compressive deformation.
